Rescheduled Safari Zones 2021 Details

Posted in

It seems like a different time now thinking back to 2020 and the Safari Zone events that were postponed, but it seems Niantic has decided things are improving, so here is the info for the rescheduled events!

‘Trainers,
We know how meaningful and rewarding it is to connect and explore together in the real world through our live events. That’s why we’re excited to announce new dates for the Safari Zone events originally planned for 2020!’

Not only will these Safari Zone celebrations take place in their original park locations, but also ticket holders will be able to participate in the event they have a ticket for, no matter where they are in the world.

Global event hours will be based on each participant’s local time; for example, a Friday Early Access ticket for Safari Zone Philadelphia will grant event access on Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time.

Pokémon GO Safari Zone: Liverpool

Now scheduled for Friday, October 15, 2021, to Sunday, October 17, 2021, in Sefton Park. Check the event’s website in the coming weeks for more details.

For Liverpool, it was previously announced that the featured Pokémon include Krabby, Dratini, Chinchou, Unown V, Oshawott, and Relicanth. Relicanth — typically available only in New Zealand, Samoa, and some other islands in the southwest Pacific — will also be appearing in the Sefton Park.

Pokémon GO Safari Zone: Philadelphia

Now scheduled for Friday, October 29, 2021, to Sunday, October 31, 2021, in Fairmount Park. Check the event’s website in the coming weeks for more details.

For Philadelphia, it was previously announced the that featured Pokémon would have a red, white, and blue theme, and would feature Unown P, Rufflet, Bronzong, Voltorb, Alolan Sandshrew, and European regional Pokémon Mr. Mime.

Pokémon GO Safari Zone: St. Louis

Safari Zone St. Louis

Now scheduled for Friday, November 12, 2021, to Sunday, November 14, 2021, in Tower Grove Park. Additionally, the start and end times for Safari Zone St. Louis have shifted one hour earlier to provide the best possible on-site experience. Updated event hours are reflected on your ticket.

Previously it was announced for St. Louis that the featured Pokémon include Mankey, Unown S, Teddiursa, Snivy, Ferroseed, and Chatot. Chatot is otherwise only found in the southern hemisphere.

Note: All of the spawns and themes may change due to the progression of Pokémon GO throughout 2020 and 2021, and we will keep you updated if we are given any other information!

You Must RSVP

All ticket holders who would like to join an in-person event must RSVP. This is so that we have an accurate count of those who plan to attend an in-person event and to make sure we keep the event space safe for distanced gatherings. Ticket holders will receive an email with more information on how to RSVP soon.

Safari Zone ticket holders will now see an updated date and time for their event in the Events tab. Ticket selections have not been modified; for example, if you purchased a Friday Early Access ticket, you’ll have a Friday Early Access ticket for the updated event.

No additional tickets will be sold for these events.

City Explorer Pass Refund

The City Explorer Pass experience has been removed from these events, and those who purchased this add-on will have it refunded. Niantic will initiate all refunds by October 2, 2021.
