Dive into an action-packed week in Pokémon GO starting October 16th!
The Harvest Festival ends on on October 17th, with Paldean Pokémon Smoliv making their debut in Pokémon GO!
Spooky Season officially kicks off with Part One the Halloween Event, with adorable ghostly doggo Greavard making their first appearance in game, and Phantump having their shiny released!
We also have Skorupi Incense Day to look forward to, with creepy crawly Pokémon spawning, and an increased chance of encountering shiny Skorupi.
For Halloween fans there is the Ticket of Treats, which gives Timed Research every Thursday during October.
For those aiming for mastery, the race is on to complete the Timed Investigation and earn the unrivaled Master Ball. But that’s not all – battle enthusiasts can gear up for the GO Battle League Season 16, while raiders prepare for epic confrontations potentially shiny Guzzlord, and the return of the elusive Darkrai.
And keep your eyes peeled for the elusive Shiny Shadow Moltres! There’s a plethora of adventures waiting, so trainers, gear up and set out!
Harvest Festival Event
October 12, 2023 10:00am to October 17, 2023 8:00pm local time is the Harvest Festival! Smoliv will make their Pokémon GO debut, and other Grass type Pokémon will spawn in the wild.
Halloween Event 2023 Part One
Start off the spooky celebrations for Halloween from October 19, 2023 from 10:00am to October 26, 2023, 10:00am local time with Part One of the Halloween event! Greavard will make their debut, and Phantump has their shiny released!
Skorupi Incense Day
October 21, 2023, from 2:00pm to 5:00pm local time is Skorupi Incense Day! Bug and Poison type spawns will be attracted to incense in hourly rotations, with Skorupi having an increased shiny rate!
Ticket of Treats
Starting in October, trainers would be able to purchase the brand new ‘Ticket of Treats’ which grants spooky Halloween themed Timed Research throughout the whole month! With the ticket, every Thursday a new Timed Research will be unlocked, giving you until the end of October to complete them all. Each research comes with Premium Items, event-themed encounters, and more!
The ticket will be available to purchase until October 29, 2023 11:59pm local time, and must be completed and claimed by October 31, 2023, 11:59pm local time.
Adventures Abound Special Research
Choose your Paldean partner Pokémon! A new Special Research story with branching paths will be available to Trainers! Throughout Pokémon GO: Adventures Abound, you’ll be able to adventure together and bond with your chosen partner Pokémon.
You can claim this Special Research at no cost from Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. to Friday, December 1, 2023, at 9:59 a.m. local time.
Timed Investigation: Master Ball
Embark on the path to mastery, Trainers. A Timed Investigation is a lengthy series of challenges available during a set period of time. Seeing this journey through will offer some of the rarest rewards you can obtain in Pokémon GO.
Timed Investigation: Master Ball will be available throughout Pokémon GO: Adventures Abound. Complete the Timed Investigation by Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at 8:00 p.m. local time to receive the very best Poké Ball with the ultimate level of performance—the Master Ball.
When used, it will catch any Pokémon you encounter in Pokémon GO without fail, whether it be in the wild, through Lure Modules, after Raid Battles, or while using your Daily Adventure Incense.
- For Trainers who are unable to complete Timed Investigation: Master Ball by November 21, 2023, a Special Research ticket that awards a Master Ball will be available to purchase.
GO Battle League Season 16
GO Battle League: Adventures Abound will start on Friday, September 1, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. PT.
The following will occur at the beginning of the Season:
- End-of-Season rewards will be available on the battle screen.
- Your GO Battle League rank will be reset.
- Rank-up requirements will remain the same as the prior
Season.

Season of Adventures Abound Research Breakthrough
- From September 1, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT -7) to December 1, 2023, at 1:00 p.m.
PDT (GMT -7) - Complete Field Research tasks during the whole season to earn an encounter from a pool of Pokémon, including Sableye, Galarian Farfetch’d, Larvitar, Furfrou, Bagon and Goomy.
