Guzzlord
Guzzlord is a Dark and Dragon type Ultra Beast. It is weak to the Bug, Dragon, Fairy, Fighting, and Ice types. It should be noted that the Fairy weakness is 2x in Pokémon GO.
Guzzlord can be caught with the following CP values:
- 1565 – 1650 CP at level 20, no weather boost
- 1956 – 2062 CP at level 25 with Fog or Windy weather boost
This fearsome UB has a massive HP stat but a measly DEF stat. As such, one can take it down in ideal weather conditions with 2-4 trainers in tow. But in normal conditions, 4-5 trainers with optimal counters are recommended.

While Guzzlord won’t exactly break the meta as such, it has been blessed with a good moveset. Therefore, it will be viable in the UL meta and a super spice pick in the ML meta. Therefore, it’s definitely worth the catch.

In general, it goes without saying that Fairy types are the best counters, both on an offensive as well defensive basis. However, your Fairy types need to be wary about Sludge Bomb. In addition. powerful Dragon, Ice, and Fighting moves will serve you well, helping you take advantage of Guzzlord’s low DEF and cutting down its enormous HP.
