After 24 days without update, Pokémon GO is updated to 0.53.1 Android and 1.23.1 iOS!

Niantic just announced on their official blog that Pokémon GO is being updated to the new version. As the official change log seems very, very short, we are quite interested to see what’s inside the APK – expect a thorough data mine later today!

P.S. It seems that GPS drift is going down also, or at least they’re trying to fight it. Say farewell to bedroom hatching 🙁

Here’s the official patch notes:

Pokémon GO is in the process of being updated to version 0.53.1 for Android and 1.23.1 for iOS devices. Below are some release notes and comments from our development team.

  • Updated Apple Watch to display Eggs obtained from PokéStops
  • Changed distance tracking to better account for GPS drift
  • Minor text fixes.
