Is there any better way to kickstart your Friday than watching a new episode of Pokemon Generations? If you ask us, there is not! A new episode in the Generations installment is out, called: “The New World”. And it’s amazing!

The episode lands right after the series showed us Deoxys in Episode 9 and The Old Chateau in Episode 10, just in time for Halloween.

Here’s the full episode video on Youtube, if it doesn’t load click here to watch it directly on Youtube app/website:

Synopsis

The episode features Cyrus of Team Galactic, as he summons Dialga and Palkia in order to create a new world, hence the title. Binding Dialga and Palkia to his will, Cyrus requests them to create a better world and galaxy. Luckily for us, Giratina interferes, emerging from the shadow world between Dialga and Palkia. In an effort to prevent the destruction of our world Giratina frees the legendary duo and consumes Cyrus!

Consume is not the correct term, as Giratina pulls him into the shadow dimension, where Cyrus express his admiration for the shadow world: “There’s nothing here, and there’s nothing to it… Yes, this place of nothingness is what I sought.” Giving up on his mortality and this world existence, his final message for Team Galactic is “Don’t look for me”.

It’s an amazing episode, we rewatched it three times as we really enjoyed the music and amazing visuals behind Giratina. Generations is shaping up to be our favourite Pokemon series in a while, with high quality, yet familiar, animation and incredible sound direction. Both Dialga and Palkia look badass, Giratina is creepy as it should be and Cyrus is as dreamy and dedicated as he was in the core games.

There is only one little details that bugs us – the episodes should last a tiny bit more, maybe just a minute longer. We always feel like it was a wild ride to watch, but a fast and short wild ride.
