A new Safari Zone event has been announced, taking place at the Tottori Sand Dunes in Japan, from November 24th to 26th. The event features increased spawn of several ground and water species and the appearance of Mr.Mime and Unown. The Unown letter combination is not yet known.

According to Serebii, there will also be a pop-up Pokémon Center near by and Pikachu will appear at the nearby Aeon Mall in Tottori.
About the Tottori Sand Dunes
The Tottori Sand Dunes (鳥取砂丘 Tottori sakyū) are sand dunes located near the city of Tottori in Tottori Prefecture, Japan. They form the only large dune system (over 30 km²) in Japan.
In Pokémon GO, they’re a max of Water and Desert biomes, spawning both water and ground species. This particular biome combination has been frequently observed on coastal areas.
The Dunes feature a lot of PokéStops, mostly concentrated around tour hotspots and accessible on foot. These hotspots are well known tourist places, set in a square shape, roughly 100 m from each other.
During the event, a free shuttle bus will be available from the JR Tottori station to the Dunes. The official bus schedule will be published later in November.
Drinking and eating is prohibited at the Dunes area. Visitors are advised to finish their meals before entering.
