Mega Pokémon that boost Binacle
The following Pokémon will grant you extra bonuses when catching Binacle if they are Mega-evolved.
Mega Catch Bonus
While a Pokémon is Mega-Evolved, additional XP and Candy are granted when catching a Pokémon that shares a type with it, or for any raid boss caught. These do not stack with each other. Additionally, High and Max Level Mega-Evolved Pokémon grant an increased chance to obtain Candy XL when catching a Pokémon that shares a type with it.
Is it worth evolving Binacle?
Barbaracle is an excellent spice/Cup option to have on hand.
As with nearly all Rock-types, Barbar can do no better than a role player. In this case, that role is hitting Waters (particularly the Mud Boys) hard with Grass Knot and Cross Chopping down some Steels like Bastiodon and Mawile. Alternatively, you can run STAB Stone Edge and swap out the Mud Boys for Flyers like Skarmory and Pelipper and more reliable wins over normal and Shadow Walrein (and at least a tie versus Escavalier).
