Deino, our little emo dragon, is a Tier 1 raid boss in Pokémon Go and is undoubtedly one of the most coveted Pokémon in the game. With Deino as a raid boss and the rarity associated with it, its raids are bound to invite a lot of participants from all across the world.
With a 2x weakness to the Fairy type and a set of other weaknesses such as Bug Dragon Fighting and Ice, Deino is an easy solo and would give the opportunity to not only possibly get a good IV variant but also a shiny! As it is well established, shiny Deino is almost non-existent! With that being said, check out this Deino raid guide to help you pick the best counters to zero down this dragon with an adorable haircut and get in en route to becoming one of the most fearsome Pokémon in the entire Pokémon world!

Deino Raid Counters
Since Shadow Pokémon are extremely expensive to power up and require specific events to remove Frustration with a Charge TM, they will NOT be listed as raid counters in this article. That being said, if you have the shadow form of a listed raid counter Pokémon powered up and TMed, use it.
Let’s check out the top raid counters for Deino:

Deino Moveset Analysis
|Fast Moves||Charge Moves|
Dragon Breath gets STAB and is the only worthy fast move for Deino. Tackle is bad.
Crunch and Body Slam are both 3-bar charged moves. However, Crunch not only gets STAB but also deals more damage.
Dragon Pulse is Deino’s strongest charged move and is 2-bar.
Shiny Deino and Deino, in general, form one of the rarest finds in the game. Raids give you a wonderful opportunity to chase that shundo, which quite honestly would be a gem of a find.
Equally exciting is the fact that Deino evolves into the powerful pseudo legendary: Hydreigon. With their Community Day move, Hydreigon is one of the most powerful Dark types in the game.
Let’s try to get this elusive dragon and hope for a good one. Enjoy raiding, trainers!
