The highly-anticipated Mega Lucario is finally making its debut in Pokémon GO in its Ultra Unlock: Raid Day on July 27, 2024, and can be tackled with 2 to 4 high level trainers. It is a Fighting and Steel type Pokémon whose best counters consist of Fighting, Fire, and Ground types.

Remember that after beating the Mega Raid Boss, you can catch regular Lucario with the following CP values:

• 1469 – 1544 CP at Level 20 with no weather boost
• 1837 – 1930 CP at Level 25 with Cloudy or Snow weather boost

How to Get Mega Lucario

To get Mega Lucario, you will need 200 Mega Energy for the initial evolution, then 40 Mega Energy to evolve the same Lucario again in the future. Mega Energy can be obtained in these Raids, and once you have evolved Mega Lucario, you can earn 5 Mega Energy per candy while walking it as your buddy. You can walk any Riolu or Lucario to earn Mega Energy, as long as you have previously evolved one to register it to your Mega Pokédex.
