Minior
Minior is making its Pokémon GO debut through Minior Showers, a series of events timed to coincide with real-world meteor showers. The first event runs from October 19 to 24, 2026, with Minior’s seven different Core colours arriving across six events all the way to August 2027.
During each event, you’ll find Minior in the wild in its Meteor Form and earn extra Stardust for catching it. Your best time to look will be 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. local time each day, when Minior encounters will be more frequent and shooting stars will light up the in-game sky.
Six Minior Showers events are scheduled between October 2026 and August 2027. Each event begins at 5:00 p.m. on its first day and ends at 11:59 p.m. on its final day, in your local time.
| Meteor Shower | Event Dates |
|---|---|
| Orionids | October 19–24, 2026 |
| Leonids | November 14–19, 2026 |
| Geminids | December 11–16, 2026 |
| Eta Aquariids | May 3–8, 2027 |
| Southern Delta Aquariids | July 28–August 2, 2027 |
| Perseids | August 10–15, 2027 |
Each meteor shower will introduce a different Minior Core colour. The Geminids event in December will introduce two: one exclusive to the Northern Hemisphere and another exclusive to the Southern Hemisphere. We don’t yet know which colours these will be.
Minior
Minior is a Rock and -type Pokémon, making it weak to Electric, Ice, Rock, Steel and Water-type attacks. You’ll encounter Minior in the wild in its Meteor Form during Minior Showers events and receive increased Stardust for catching it. Its seven different Core colours will debut gradually across these events:
- Minior (Red Core)
- Minior (Orange Core)
- Minior (Yellow Core)
- Minior (Green Core)
- Minior (Blue Core)
- Minior (Indigo Core)
- Minior (Violet Core)
During December’s Geminids event, two Core colours will debut: one exclusive to the Northern Hemisphere and another exclusive to the Southern Hemisphere. The colours for these regional debuts have not yet been announced.
Minior will burst into Pokémon GO with a brand new form changing mechanism, changing the way you battle in PvP.
- Minior will battle in its Meteor Form until its health is reduced to below 50%, when it will change its form and expose its core.
- While in Meteor Form, Minior will have higher Defense and lower Attack.
- While its core is exposed, Minior has higher Attack and lower Defense.
Initially, Minior will only be able to change forms when battling Team GO Rocket, team leaders, or in the GO Battle League.*
*Minior will not be eligible for the 2027 Latin America International Championships.
From 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. local time every day during each Minior Shower, the in-game sky will be lit by shooting stars. You’ll also have an increased chance of encountering Minior in the wild.
