Voltorb

Voltorb is now available in Tier 1 raids in Pokémon GO and you should have no problem taking it down as it is a very easy raid boss to defeat. 

After the raid, Voltorb can be caught with the following CP values 

• 532 – 577 CP, at Level 20 with no weather boost 
• 665 – 721 CP, at Level 25 with weather boost, during Rainy weather conditions

Voltorb is a pure Electric type Pokémon, and also has a shiny variant in the game so it can be encountered shiny after a raid battle. It is a full odds shiny–1/500. 

Voltorb Counters

Since Shadow Pokémon are extremely expensive to power up and require specific events to remove Frustration with a Charge TM, they will NOT be listed as raid counters in this article. That being said, if you have the shadow form of a listed raid counter Pokémon powered up and TMed, use it. The figures in our database for DPS and TDO are calculated using Level 40 Pokémon with perfect IVs.

Moveset

Voltorb’s evolution Electrode, in both–the Kantonian and the Hisuian Forme is decent in Great League and some limited-time formats like the Kanto Cup, so doing these raids might be useful in terms of getting candy for this Pokémon.
