Crowned Shield Zamazenta
Crowned Shield Zamazenta is a Tier 5 legendary raid boss in Pokémon GO and it can be shiny! You will not be able to catch the Crowned Shield form of Zamazenta, and will instead encounter the Hero of Many Battles form of Zamazenta. This can be form changed into the Crowned Shield form of Zamazenta.
As such, it can be caught with the following CP values:
- 2100 – 2188 CP at Level 20, no weather boost
- 2625 – 2735 CP at Level 25 with Cloudy weather boost
With pure Fighting typing, Zamazenta is boosted by Cloudy weather and its counters include strong Psychic, , and Fairy type Pokémon. With strong counters, Zamazenta can possibly be defeated by 3 trainers. To be safe, 4-6 high-level trainers can get the job done, but less prepared trainers may need to bring a larger squad.

Zamazenta Stats, Moves and Shiny form
Zamazenta is a strong Fighting type Legendary, with quite a wide move pool, but fortunately nothing in there is scary enough to make picking counters difficult. Let’s go over the stats and then we can focus on the moves.

Zamazenta Moveset Analysis
- Quick Attack is the easiest of the bunch. It won’t bother any of your counters.
- Metal Claw is a good move and troubles your Fairy type counters. With neat damage and energy generation, and being largely unresisted by your counters, it is worth your attention.
- Ice Fang does quite a number on your types and is damaging enough. However, it has a 3-turn cooldown and can be used to sneak in your own charged attacks.
- Snarl has high energy generation and is threatening in that regard. Plus, it deals super-effective damage to your Psychic types.
- Moonblast hits hard but can be dodged to prolong your counters’ presence.
- Iron Head does neat neutral damage to most of your counters.
- Close Combat is a dangerous STAB move on Zamazenta and with that ATK stat of 254, it should be damaging. However, both Psychic and types resist it. Yay!
- Crunch hits very often and when paired with Snarl, is worrisome for your Psychic types.

How to get the Crowned Shield form of Zamazenta
With enough Crowned Shield Energy, a Zamazenta that knows the Charged Attack Iron Head can be transformed to become a Crowned Shield Zamazenta. Trainers can transform Hero of Many Battles Zamazenta using 1,000 Crowned Shield Energy as long as it knows the Charged Attack Iron Head.

When Zamazenta becomes Crowned Shield Zamazenta, its Charged Attack Iron Head will change to the Charged Attack Behemoth Bash. Behemoth Bash is a Steel typed Charge Attack that is the Signature attack of Zamazenta.
All the best, Trainers!
