Dodging in Raids Finally Fixed! Here’s How To Dodge With the New Mechanic

Pokémon GO has finally fixed how dodging attacks works in regular Raids! The new dodge mechanic allows Trainers to dodge at any time between the text notification that the boss is using an attack and the actual damage window occurring!

This spans across all moves and bosses, making this a reliable and easy thing to do. You can even continue attacking and use your own charge move once you dodge. However, some attacks remain hard to dodge, because they deal damage quite quickly, and the damage dealing window is quite short. Also, dodge stacking has been fixed as well.

Some other Raid Boss things haven’t changed with this update, and bosses can still fire multiple charge moves one after another, provided they have enough Energy.

Raid Bosses generate Energy by taking damage, and they flip a coin once they have enough energy. Based on that coin flip, bosses decide whether to spend Energy and use a Charge move, or use a Fast Move.

Ultimately, if the Raid Boss has enough energy, it is just a matter of time before it gets a favourable flip, and fires a Charge move.
