Over 70 Pokémon will appear during the event, plus special costumed Pokémon, bonuses, and more. Of course, the story would not be complete without a new Mythical Pokémon… get ready a ghostly sighting—Marshadow makes its global entrance in Pokémon GO!

Pokémon GO Fest 2024 Real-World Locations
The best way to experience Pokémon GO Fest is in-person, and we’re excited to announce the three cities hosting GO Fest 2024 events!
Sendai, Japan
May 30 to June 2, 2024
Pokémon GO Fest 2024 is coming to Sendai City, one of the greenest Japanese cities! GO Fest 2024: Sendai is split into two different experiences between two locations: Nanakita Park and throughout the rest of Sendai City!
Attendees will enjoy exclusive gameplay, special bonuses, and more as they adventure alongside thousands of fellow Trainers and spend half their day in Nanakita Park and half exploring the larger Sendai City area!
Trainers who attend Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Sendai will be able to encounter Shiny Emolga for the first time in Pokémon GO—if they’re lucky!
Madrid, Spain
June 14 to 16, 2024
Pokémon GO Fest 2024 is coming to Madrid, and we’re planning a mystical event! GO Fest 2024: Madrid is split into different experiences between two locations: Parque Juan Carlos I and throughout greater Madrid!
Attendees will enjoy exclusive gameplay, special bonuses, and more as they adventure alongside thousands of fellow Trainers and spend half their day in Parque Juan Carlos I and half exploring the larger Madrid area!
Trainers who attend Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Madrid will be able to encounter Shiny Crabrawler for the first time in Pokémon GO—if they’re lucky!
New York City, USA
July 5 to 7, 2024
Pokémon GO Fest 2024 is coming to New York City, and we’re planning a big event for the Big Apple! GO Fest 2024: New York City is split into different experiences across two locations: Randall’s Island Park and throughout the rest of New York City!
Attendees can enjoy exclusive gameplay, special bonuses, and more as they adventure alongside thousands of fellow Trainers, spending half the day in Randall’s Island Park and the other half exploring the larger New York City area!
Trainers who attend Pokémon GO Fest 2024: New York City will be able to encounter Shiny Ducklett for the first time in Pokémon GO—if they’re lucky! Shiny Unown ? will also make its first appearance in the Americas at the event after debuting during the Pokémon GO Fest events hosted in Sendai and Madrid.

Marshadow debuts in Pokémon GO
Marshadow
This year, the Mythical Pokémon Marshadow—the Gloomdweller Pokémon—is the star of the event! Marshadow will make its Pokémon GO debut during the GO Fest 2024 event in Sendai City. Follow the story told by your event-exclusive Special Research and adventure throughout the park, and get ready for your own mysterious encounter with Marshadow!
Klefki, the Key Ring Pokémon, will appear at GO Fest 2024 locations

Not all that hides in the dark is Marshadow, though—Trainers will also be able to encounter Klefki! Klefki, the Key Ring Pokémon, will appear during Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Sendai! This Pokémon is typically only found in France!
Costumed Pokémon debuts
Pikachu and Eevee are dressed for the occasion! Eevee wearing a sun crown and Eevee wearing a moon crown will be exclusively available to in-person GO Fest attendees only. Pikachu wearing a sun crown and Pikachu wearing a moon crown will also be available to in-person GO Fest attendees before Pokémon GO Fest: Global in July.

Rotom (Heat)
For eagle-eyed Trainers, Heat Rotom may appear in snapshots as a surprise encounter during in-person GO Fest events.
Expected bonuses
We are seeing mostly the same bonuses apply to all 3 in-person GO Fest 2024 events, and they seem to be fairly standard GO Fest afair. In other words, they are massive, and well worth the ticket price!
All attendees will receive the following bonuses and rewards between 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m, anywhere in their city of choice on their ticketed day:
Lure Modules activated will last for two hours
1/2 Hatch distance for eggs incubated during the event
Special 7km eggs will be available
Up to six special trades can be made per day, no matter where you are in the city
2x Catch Candy
1.5x Hatch Candy
1.5x Hatch Stardust
Trainers will be able to enjoy Field Research themed around the different Pokémon habitats
Surprise encounters in GO Snapshot—when taking snapshots during the event, you may get a warm surprise!
