Is that… Caterpie in a Poké Ball hat?! At the in-person Pokémon GO Fest events in Tokyo, Chicago and Copenhagen, ticket holding trainers will have the opportunity to catch a brand new costume Caterpie, wearing a Poké Ball Hat.
It isn’t Cowboy Hat Caterpie, but it is dang close. Somewhere Cowboy Hat Caterpie Guy is screaming right now. There is no word on if this Caterpie will be available at the Global GO Fest or not, but we can all cross our fingers and hope!
Ticket holding trainers at Tokyo, Chicago and Copenhagen may also encounter Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle wearing Pikachu visors. Starting with this event, these Pokémon can evolve even if you have already caught them!
These Costume Kanto Starters were first released in spring of 2020, and are really fun costumes! All of these costume Pokémon are bound to be hot commodities in Remote Trading, so be sure to stock up on them as much as you can. It also means trainers who love costume Pokémon will want to collect 3 of each to evolve a full set, and even better if they are shiny!
