A new event has been announced to celebrate the release of a brand new research area in Pokémon Sleep, Old Gold Power Plant, which sees the debut of three new Pokémon families!

Bonuses
The following effects will trigger in the applicable areas during the event:
- Certain Pokémon will be more likely to appear during sleep research.
- A few Pokémon of different sleep types will appear during sleep research regardless of your sleep type for that day.
- Aron, Grubbin and Shinx families will debut
- Aron, Shinx, and Grubbin—who live at the Old Gold Power Plant—will also appear on Greengrass Isle during this two-week-long event
- During the event Grubbin, Shinx and Aron will have a slightly greater appearance chance
- If you want to encounter Aron, Shinx, or Grubbin, it is recommended you research at the Old Gold Power Plant. You are more likely to encounter these Pokémon there than on Greengrass Isle during the event period.
Old Gold Power Plant
Starting from 3:00 p.m. on October 2, 2024 the Old Gold Power Plant will be available in Pokémon Sleep!
Complete the Dex goal of registering 340 sleep styles to unlock the Old Gold Power Plant.
New Pokémon will appear at the Old Gold Power Plant:
- Dozing Style Sleep: Grubbin, Charjabug and Vikavolt
- Snoozing: Shinx, Luxio and Luxray
- Slumbering: Aron, Lairon and Aggron
Snorlax’s Favorite Berries at the Old Gold Power Plant will be:
- Grepa Berry Electric
- Bluk Berry Ghost
- Belue Berry Steel
Pokémon Debuts
New Pokémon will appear at the Old Gold Power Plant:
- Dozing Style Sleep: Grubbin, Charjabug and Vikavolt
- Snoozing: Shinx, Luxio and Luxray
- Slumbering: Aron, Lairon and Aggron
All three Pokémon are ingredient specialists.
Aron is a Steel type that collects Belue Berries. It can collect Bean Sausage and Rousing Coffee for ingredients. It has the Main Skill Charge Energy S which restores 12 Energy to the user.
Shinx is an Electric type that collects Grepa Berries and it can collect Snoozing Tomato, Pure Oil and Rousing Coffee. It has the Main Skill Cooking Power-Up S which gives your pot room for 7 more ingredients next time you cook.
Grubbin is a Bug type that collects Lum Berries, and it can collect Rousing Coffee, Tasty Mushroom and Honey. It has the Main Skill Charge Strength S which increases Snorlax’s Strength by 400.

Aron Incense gives off a scent that Aron love. If you set it before sleeping, Aron will appear for sure during your next sleep research. The other incenses work the same way—if you set one before sleeping, that particular Pokémon will appear for sure during your next sleep research!
You can set up your incense on the stump by your tent or via the pop-up that appears when you tap the Sleep button.
Notes
- [Important] Each day of the Old Gold Power Plant event rolls over at 4:00 a.m.
- If you track your sleep in areas other than Greengrass Isle or the Old Gold Power Plant during the event, you won’t meet Aron, Shinx, or Grubbin.
- After the event, Aron, Shinx, and Grubbin will no longer appear during sleep research conducted on Greengrass Isle (except when using that Pokémon’s incense).
- After , you’ll no longer be able to use Aron Incense, Shinx Incense, or Grubbin Incense on Greengrass Isle.
- Event bonuses apply only to sleep data tracked during the event.
- If you wait to report sleep data tracked before the event began and select “Review Later” during the event, event bonuses will not be applied.
- If you wait to report sleep data tracked during the event and select “Review Later” after the event has ended, event bonuses will be applied.
- Event bonuses do not apply to sleep tracking during the tutorial.
