It’s a celebration for fans of the Johto region as Pokémon TCG Pocket has finally unveiled the new A4 booster pack, Wisdom of Sea and Sky! Headlined by the iconic Gen 2 Legendary duo of Lugia and Ho-Oh, fan-favorite Pokémon, and iconic trainers from the region, this pack promises to be a thrilling ride.
An official trailer has been released showing a few cards of the Wisdom of Sea and Sky set! Lugia EX and Ho-Oh EX take center stage with classics like Eeveelutions and Baby Pokémon also joining the fray.
Wisdom of Sea and Sky will be released on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, and is the A4 set.

Based on the moves of Lugia EX and Ho-Oh EX, it looks like this set will focus largely on multi-energy decks and mechanics. This could lead to a higher usage of cards like Dragonite EX, Dragonite, Dawn, and Colorless types.
Dragonite (EX and regular) grapples with Lightning and Water Energies, but the Johto Legendary duo also add Fire Energy in their tech. Could this lay the foundation for increased Dragon Pokémon usage in TCG Pocket?
Only time will tell. For now, it’s certain that the Wisdom of Sea and Sky set will shake up the meta for good.
