Today Pokémon TCG Pocket has announced a new themed set coming to the game, Mythical Island! It is set to debut on 17th December 2024, and will bring with it over 80 new cards to add to your collection.
A teaser video has been shared on social media by the Pokémon Company, with the following information:
“Experience wonder and whimsy with a new expansion’s worth of cards coming to the Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket! Classic Mythical Pokémon Mew and Celebi are powerful Pokémon ex ready to add extra magic to your collection. The Mythical Island expansion features over 80 cards, including five new exciting Pokémon ex cards, five new Trainer cards, and gorgeous immersive cards ready to bring you into the wondrous world of Pokémon.”
Along with ex cards for both Mew and Celebi, it appears we can also look to add an Aerodactyl ex card to their collection, as well as Marshadow, Morelull, Liepard, Snivy, Tauros, Magmar, Exeggcute, Larvesta, Dhelmise, and Blue.
The set will also come with a new binder and display board that depict the scenery of the Mythical Island.
This announcement comes after the Pokémon Company also revealed that Pokémon TCG Pocket has been downloaded over 60 million times, and that is has been nominated for ‘Best Mobile Game’ at The Game Awards.
It is exciting times to be a Pokémon fan, and Pokémon TCG Pocket has certainly been a smash hit this year!
