Lileep and Cradily in Pokémon GO

Baltoy and Claydol  Anorith and Armaldo

Pokémon GO Lileep, known as the “Sea Lily Pokémon” evolves into Pokémon GO Cradily, the “Barnacle Pokémon”. Cradily has a max CP of 2081, STA 172 and DEF 198 – meaning that this Pokémon is no major threat in the metagame.

In the core games, these Pokémon are resurrected from Root Fossils. Fortunately for Pokémon GO trainers, there will be no need for any fossil resurrection. Lileep is known to live on the seafloor, and then nests in the shallows of warm seas after evolving into Cradily.

We’ll encounter these Pokémon in Water Biomes – mainly beaches. Get ready to put on some sunscreen and hit those beaches hard!

Cradily in the Pokémon GO meta

Cradily has very interesting typing, but it’s Max CP doesn’t allow it to perform any better than similarly tiered Pokémon. Its combat performance falls in line with the likes of Golduck, Magmar, Rapidash etc…

Cradily does not have any mega evolution, so it’s main purpose is to be a Pokédex filler. Yes, we know, a ton of Gen III Pokémon fall into that category – but it’s not up to us, the CP system is simply broken and there is little we can do about it.

Pokémon GO Cradily Moves

Cradily has access to the following moves as part of its movepool:

  • Acid poison(Fast)
  • Infestation  bug (Fast)
  • Grass Knot  grass (Charged, 2 Bar)
  • Stone Edge rock (Charged, 1 Bar)
  • Bulldoze  ground (Charged, 2 Bar)
