- (**) This reduced evolution requirement lasts until 9:00 p.m. local time and applies to all Bisharp, whether or not they are your Buddy Pokémon.
Regular Lure Modules last one hour during Pawniard Community Day, and they have an additional bonus. From 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. local time, Pawniardwill have a very high chance of appearing at PokéStops with active regular Lure Modules.
Pawniard attracted to regular Lure Modules will still have an increased chance to be Shiny and may have a Special Background. That’s more chances to encounter the featured Pokémon even after the event hours!
On Saturday, November 21, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, Pawniard will appear more frequently in the wild. If you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny Pawniard or one with a Special Background! Pawniard is a Dark/Steel-type Pokémon in Pokémon GO, and is boosted by Fog and Snow in-game weather.
Shiny Pawniard Odds and Comparison
Based on typical Community Day rates, the estimated odds of getting a Shiny Pawniard are around 1 in 20 (5%); the official announcement does not specify an exact rate during the November 2026 Community Day. Here is a quick comparison between regular and Shiny Pawniard, Bisharp, and Kingambit.
How to Evolve Pawniard into Bisharp and Kingambit
To evolve Bisharp, you need 50 Pawniard Candy. To evolve Kingambit during November Community Day, you will need
-
100×
Pawniard
Candy
- Defeat 1
or
type Raid Boss with Bisharp as your Buddy
Scopely has clarified that the reduced evolution requirement applies to each Bisharp individually.
- You must set each Bisharp as your Buddy and defeat one Dark- or Steel-type Raid Boss to unlock its evolution.
- Defeating one Raid Boss will not unlock evolution for every Bisharp in your storage.
- Once completed during Community Day, the evolution requirement remains fulfilled even after the event ends.
Kowtow Cleave is Kingambit’s Community Day Move
Kingambit will learn Kowtow Cleave when you evolve Bisharp during the event or up to four hours afterwards (until 9:00 p.m. local time).
Kowtow Cleave
- Trainer Battles: 75 power
- Gyms and Raids: 85 power
Try to get a Dark or Steel type Mega Pokémon to at least High Level, or even Max Level, to enjoy the bonuses that having that Pokémon Mega Evolved during the event can give you. Be sure to Mega Evolve for extra Candy from catches!
This table shows Pawniard’s maximum Combat Power at every level, from Level 1 to Level 50. In wild encounters, Pawniard can be caught from Levels 1–30, or Levels 6–35 when weather-boosted. Pawniard is boosted by Fog and Snow weather.

Don’t catch Pokémon before the event starts
Arrive at your spot early and save your catches for when the event starts to benefit from the Community Day bonuses.
Restart the app before the event
Be patient: occasional errors and bugs can occur at the start of the event. It is best to restart the app in most, if not all, cases.
Don’t forget to spin PokéStops
Remember PokéStops give out quests that are very beneficial on Community Day, giving you rewards for Stardust, Great and Ultra Balls, and Pinap Berries, all things that can help you if your supplies are low. Clear any unwanted Field Research tasks to make room for Community Day tasks from PokéStops in the area where you are playing.
Don’t activate lures before the event starts
Activate regular Lure Modules during the event for their one-hour duration. Regular Lure Modules can also attract more Pawniard until 9:00 p.m. local time, even after the three-hour Community Day ends.
Use Incense
Use Incense to attract even more Pokémon to you while you’re out hunting. If you are wondering, yes, Incense can spawn Community Day ‘mons that can be shiny. There is no reason why you should avoid Incense if you have it.
Don’t forget to enjoy the event
- Chat with your fellow Trainers and grow your local Pokémon GO community. Make good use of the QR code feature to make some new friends!
- Promote the new Pokémon GO features and events to Trainers who are just starting their adventure or haven’t been playing for a while. People are coming back around due to trading, new Pokémon, PvP, the numerous events, and these community-based events.
- Most importantly, have fun, get some shinies, and hope for no game-breaking glitches!
If you’re looking for other Trainers in your area to trade, battle, or join raids with on Community Day, check out the Pokémon GO Community Day map! Here you can find Community Ambassador events and Community Parks.
Community Ambassadors run Pokémon GO events for their communities with official support. Check in to a Community Ambassador event during Pawniard Community Day to get Timed Research with additional Special Background Pawniard encounters and premium item rewards. If there are no Community Ambassadors near you, you can also search Campfire by downloading the app and find other local meetups in your area.
Community Parks are areas in your city that are historically popular places for Community Day. These parks may be a fun place to play with your local community while enjoying some fresh air.*
