Pokémon GO Mawile is a “Deceiver Pokémon”, looks fierce but it can’t really bite. It is one of the few Pokémon with the interesting dual type: steel fairy.
Unfortunately, Mawile has a low max CP of 1484 which means it is not much of any use like many others. It has a well balanced ATK (155) and DEF (155) much like the Pokémon just one place before it in Pokédex – Sableye. Considering how good the stats of the other Gen 3 Pokémon are, Mawile’s stats are borderline average to low. Its STA (100) is Mawille’s lowest point.
Mawile takes increased damage only from fire and ground attacks.
Where to find Mawile
Typically found in caves, Mawile can be found in Forest, Water Edge, Mountain, and Urban Biomes in Pokémon Go.
Mawile made its television debut on the 379th episode of the Pokémon series (Advanced Generation: Episode 105) titled, “Once in a Mawile”.
Mawile in the Pokémon GO meta
With ameasly max CP of 1484, Mawile will land on the lower, if not the bottom part of the meta game. With average stats, low stamina and great typing, Mawile is not going to be a good defender, but it will be a good Pokémon to train against.
If used as an attacker, keep in mind that Mawile has a very low max CP and its STA (100) makes it very fragile. This means, in order to preserve Mawile’s HP, you depend on dodging every opponent’s attack.
On a positive note, Mawile has a mega evolution. Perhaps then, like in other Pokémon games, Mawile will have a very significant increase on its ATK and a jaw dropping increase in its DEF, in turn making her a beast.
