‘Osu Shopping Street in Nagoya—this is my hometown. Walking through these vibrant streets brings back fond childhood memories of family outings. One of my most vivid memories is the street performers during the Osu Street Performers Festival, covered head-to-toe in gold paint and performing breathtaking fire dances. As a child, I was completely spellbound by the spectacle. Even today, stepping into this market fills me with the same warmth and excitement from those unforgettable days.’

‘In the light streaming through the stained glass, there is Doble’s “favorite presence.” Before I could see that image, so lovely and beautiful, I would spend more time gazing at it than drawing it. There are enough encounters here to make you put down your brush.’

Hanbok is the traditional clothing of Korea. Far more than just garments, it is worn on special occasions—such as the Lunar New Year and weddings—to celebrate one another and reaffirm the bonds of family. This beautiful attire reflects the wisdom of ancestors and symbolizes a deep love for family.
We wanted to make this long-awaited reunion even more radiant through the traditional grace of the Hanbok. Resting after the journey, a new chapter of our family’s story begins right here.’
