This month we asked to see your best Pokémon GO Fest inspired AR photos! Whether they are of Pokémon featured during the event, or taken during the weekend, we got some amazing submissions.
Want to submit to the next AR photography showcase? The theme is ‘The Great Outdoors!’, basically, the only rule is that the photo of your Pokémon must be taken outside. Submit here by 25th August to be considered.

‘『Cute photo included!』’ by @limuqeroro🐸, Odaiba, Tokyo.

‘Mai was about to take the camera shutter, that moment. “Pikkachu~!” Pikachu, a sparkling tiara, broke through the flower dance formation and “photobombed” (captured) right in front of the camera, as if to say he was the star! That’s also the most adorable and special camera-focused.’
‘Shiny Mega Mewtwo Y showed up’ by pokemoninlife, Yongquan Park, Taichung, Taiwan.

‘GO Fest, how I’ve been waiting for this moment..😭. After overcoming numerous trials (research), we finally captured the legendary Pokémon “Zeraora⚡️”! This overwhelming presence and coolness can be conveyed even through the screen! I was so happy that my fingers were shaking as I pressed the AR shooting button📸.’
‘Let’s have fun!’ by Fer, Playa Naranjo, Guanacaste, Costa Rica.

‘I love water Pokémon! I was going on a trip by “ferry”, so I definitely wanted to take some pictures of my beautiful Pokémon in the water as much as I could. I then remembered that I had this Psyduck with the float, and I said: “Of course! That’s perfect. My two psyducks together”. This is definitely my favorite picture so far. Everybody loves it. I enjoy a lot taking pictures of my Pokémon using the AR mode. :)’
‘Pika out the window’ by Vincent, Vaughan Ontario Canada.

We all stayed in the same room that night, and we had a blast reminiscing and meeting tomorrow !’

‘『The Mark of All Things』’ by @limuqeroro🐸, Odaiba, Tokyo.

‘A legendary stained panel that is said to contain ancient type energy.
In the silence, two Mascagnas appeared in front of the panel, arranged in symmetry.
The moment they suddenly resonated,
The “water” on the panel is blue, the “thunder” is silver, and all the typemarks begin to emit a mysterious light――.
A panel that remembers the entire energy of the world and a secret moment of the Beautiful Keepers that gently awakens its power.’
‘Peaceful and beautiful’ by Fer, Nicoya, Guanacaste, Costa Rica.

‘Peacefully waiting for something exciting to do during the Go Fest when suddenly, a beautiful Butterfree appears from the wild. I love taking pictures of my beautiful Pokémon using the AR mode! 🙂 ‘

‘Mega Mewtwo Takes Over Times Square’ by TheyCallMePhones (IG/Bluesky); CallMePhones (Twitter/X), Times Square, New York City, NY, USA.

‘I was in Times Square during theMega Mewtwo Y unity raid event. This event was not just for creators as many people may think, but it was mostly for the community ambassadors (and their plus ones) who have worked for the last 10 years to keep our game’s local communities going strong. To see Mewtwo flying across the Times Square billboards, to see so many other Trainers’ Pokémon fighting alongside you in real time in one of the busiest intersections in the world, to celebrate the work our global community has done to keep strong, was so cool. Most mobile games do not make it 10 years. It’s important to realize how far we’ve come and what we have accomplished.
Times Square may be a popular location, but geographically it’s not that large. So to see everyone together, phones all raised high for one common goal, was something special.’
‘Mega Mewtwo X in Chinatown (GO Fest Global)’ by TheyCallMePhones (IG/Bluesky); CallMePhones (Twitter/X), China Town, New York City, NY, USA.

‘Mega Mewtwo X delivers powerful kicking blows, and when I started my GO Fest Global I started from Chinatown and worked my way uptown. I found a really cool mural showcasing martial arts and felt like a dynamic angle shot of Mewtwo’s kick would be a cool addition to the shot.’
‘Mega Mewtwo Y at the Manhattan Bridge – GO Fest Global 2026’ by TheyCallMePhones (IG/Bluesky); CallMePhones (Twitter/X), New York City, NY, USA.

‘Working my way uptown for Global GO Fest, I stopped by the Manhattan Bridge. I got an empty shot of the area and figured it would be a great place for Mega Mewtwo Y to bask in the sunshine. I used Photoshop to add a little blur to the background and a lens flare to make the shot more dynamic.’
The below images are taken by our AR Masters.
‘Tropius Cries’ by kittypokemonsalot, Tenerife.

‘Getting to hunt for a shiny regional from outside your region is always one of the most exciting parts of GO Fest! Tropius has such a fun design, a sort of ancient flying banana dinosaur’
