Fall Marathon: Buddy Trek runs from October 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. to October 19, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time. The event introduces Bramblin, the Tumbleweed Pokémon, and brings Super Max Level and the Charged Attack Discharge+ to Mega Manectric.
There’s an increased chance to encounter Shiny Electrike throughout the event, with boosted Shiny Hisuian Growlithe encounters from Incense starting October 16 at 10:00 a.m. Incense encounters change halfway through the event, while Field Research and the GO Pass: Fall Marathon offer additional rewards.
You can also complete free Timed Research by exploring up to 42 km to earn an encounter with Pikachu wearing a marathon visor. Below, you’ll find the event bonuses, encounter schedule, research rewards and GO Pass milestones.

How to Get Bramblin and Evolve It into Brambleghast
Bramblin
For the first time in Pokémon GO, you’ll be able to encounter Bramblin, the Tumbleweed Pokémon, if you’re lucky! You may encounter Bramblin when you complete GO Pass tasks or use Incense.
Bramblin evolves into Brambleghast, but we currently do not know how this mechanism will work. In the main series tt evolves into Brambleghast when levelled up while outside of its Poké Ball after the player walks 1000 steps using the Let’s Go! feature, so we suspect you will need to walk Bramblin as your Buddy to evolve it.
Mega Manectric: Super Max Level and Discharge+
Mega Manectric
Starting with the Fall Marathon: Buddy Trek event, you’ll be able to increase Mega Manectric’s Mega Level all the way up to Super Max Level for the first time in Pokémon GO.
Manectric will now be able to use an additional Charged Attack, Discharge+, when it’s Mega Evolved.
- Trainer Battles: 50 power
- Raid Battles: 150 power
The power of this attack will increase with the Pokémon’s Mega Level. Remember: You must increase a Pokémon’s Mega Level to the third level, Max, before you can increase it to Super Max.
To help your Pokémon reach Super Max Level, Mega Evolving alone won’t be enough, you’ll need to use that Pokémon’s Mega Energy to power it up.

Rewards unlocked in the GO Pass will expire on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time, so be sure to claim your rewards before they expire.
