GO Battle Weekend: Clay is a weekend long GO Battle event, inspired by Clay, the Gym Leader of Driftveil Gym in the Unova region in the Pokémon Black and Pokémon White games!

Bonuses

The maximum number of sets you can play per day will be increased from five to 20—for a total of 100 battles—from 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. local time.

Paid battle-themed Timed Research* awarding Stardust will be available for US$1.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency). IMPORTANT: Please note that Timed Research expires. To receive the rewards, the tasks associated with this Timed Research must be completed and the rewards claimed before Sunday, July 2, 2023, 11:59 p.m. local time.
*Trainers will be able to purchase and gift tickets to any of their Pokémon GO friends that they have achieved a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher with. Please note that purchases—including those made for other Trainers—are non-refundable (subject to applicable law and the exceptions set forth in the Terms of Service). Tickets cannot be purchased with PokéCoins.
Premium Track Rewards
The Premium Track will have different rewards for the GO Battle Weekend, including the following:
Guaranteed Rare Candy XL for Trainers level 31 and up for their second win in a set
Guaranteed Rare Candy for Trainers level 30 and below for their second win in a set
Increased stardust rewards compared to the basic reward track
Order of premium track rewards will be rearranged

Active Leagues
During the GO Battle Weekend: Clay, the following leagues will be active:
Single-type Cup: Great League Edition
- Only Pokémon under 1,500 CP with only one type are eligible. For example, Wobbuffet—who is only a Psychic-type Pokémon—is eligible. However, Swampert, being a Water- and Ground-type Pokémon, is not permitted.

Changes to Rewards After GO Battle Weekend: Clay
After GO Battle Weekend: Clay concludes, several changes will be made to the GO Battle League for the remainder of Season 15.
- All rewards from the premium track will be adjusted to be in the same reward order as the basic track rewards, but in increased amounts
- Also, trainers level 31 and up will have the chance to receive Rare Candy XL as an item after their second win in a set.
