Pokémon GO Festival of Lights 2026: India Exclusive Event

The Festival of Lights event is back with its 2026 edition, giving Pokémon GO players in India more chances to catch the popular duo of Pikachu wearing a saree and Pikachu wearing a kurta! Running from Friday, November 6, at 10:00 a.m. to Sunday, November 8, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time, players will also find several challenges and event-themed Pokémon in the wild and from Lure Modules.

Festival of Lights 2026 Event Bonuses

The following bonuses are active during the Festival of Lights 2026 event:

Sparkle O’Clock

The following Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild for five minutes at 6:00 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 7:00 p.m., and 7:30 p.m:

Pikachu wearing a saree and Pikachu wearing a kurta come with a chance of having a Special Background.

Raids

One-Star Raids

The following Pokémon will appear in One-Star Raids:

If you’re lucky, you can catch them with a Special Background.

Increased Lure Module Encounters

Lure Modules are more likely to attract the following event-themed Pokémon:

Timed Research

There will be a Branched Timed Research with the following rewards:

• XP
• Stardust
• Stickers featuring Pikachu wearing a saree or Pikachu wearing a kurta
• Encounter with Pikachu wearing a saree with a Special Background or Pikachu wearing a kurta with a Special Background. Both encounters can be shiny

The Timed Research will be available from Sunday, November 1, at 6:00 a.m.

Collection Challenge

Collection Challenges requiring you to catch event-themed Pokémon will reward you with XP and Stardust.
