The Festival of Lights event is back with its 2026 edition, giving Pokémon GO players in India more chances to catch the popular duo of Pikachu wearing a saree and Pikachu wearing a kurta! Running from Friday, November 6, at 10:00 a.m. to Sunday, November 8, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time, players will also find several challenges and event-themed Pokémon in the wild and from Lure Modules.
Festival of Lights 2026 Event Bonuses
The following bonuses are active during the Festival of Lights 2026 event:
3× Lure Module duration.
Receive stickers featuring Pikachu wearing a saree or Pikachu wearing a kurta when spinning PokéStops.
Some event-themed Pokémon will also glow.
Sparkle O’Clock
The following Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild for five minutes at 6:00 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 7:00 p.m., and 7:30 p.m:
Pikachu wearing a saree and Pikachu wearing a kurta come with a chance of having a Special Background.
Raids

Timed Research
There will be a Branched Timed Research between Pikachu wearing a kurta and Pikachu wearing a saree. The first stages of the Research are the same, and the remaining two stages share the same tasks but differ in their rewards according to the path you choose.
