The Pokémon Horizons: The Series Celebration Event celebrates season 3 of the TV series Pokémon Horizons: Rising Hope releasing in the USA and UK, taking place from Wednesday, September 16, at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time. You can watch in the USA on Netflix, and in the UK on BBC iPlayer.
The event introduces Charmander, Charmeleon and Charizard wearing Friede’s goggles to Pokémon GO, as well as an increased chance to encounter Kecleon at Pokéstops. Pikachu with Cap’s Hat also returns, and there are rotating timed spawns.
Pokémon Horizons also features a special GO Pass, Pokéstop showcases, event-themed Field Research, Raids, surprise photobombs, and more.
The following bonuses are active during the Pokémon Horizons event:
- Charmander, Charmeleon and Charizard wearing Friede’s goggles make their Pokémon GO debut
- Increased chance to encounter Kecleon at PokéStops.
Charmander, Charmeleon and Charizard wearing Friede’s goggles will make their Pokémon GO debuts. You might find one in the wild, from Field Research, attracted by an active regular Lure Module, or via the GO Pass.
You can use 25 Charmander Candy to evolve Charmander wearing Friede’s goggles into Charmeleon wearing Friede’s goggles and 100 Charmander Candy to evolve Charmeleon wearing Friede’s goggles into Charizard wearing Friede’s goggles.

From Wednesday, September 16, at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time, the GO Pass and GO Pass Deluxe for Pokémon Horizons: The Series Celebration Event will be available in Pokémon GO. GO Pass is a free, limited-time progression track available during a specified period. By collecting GO Points, you can increase your rank to earn rewards.
- Trainers will automatically receive GO Pass: Pokémon Horizons: The Series Celebration Event on Wednesday, September 16 at 10:00 a.m. local time.
- You can collect GO Points and rank up to get additional rewards through Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
Rewards unlocked in the GO Pass will expire on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time, so be sure to claim your rewards before they expire.
