Pokémon Horizons: The Series Celebration Event (2026)

The Pokémon Horizons: The Series Celebration Event returns to Pokémon GO from Wednesday, September 16 at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at 8:00 p.m. local time.

The event introduces Charmander wearing Friede’s goggles, which can evolve into Charmeleon and Charizard while keeping the costume. Trainers can also encounter Pikachu wearing Cap’s hat, find Kecleon more frequently at PokéStops, and catch different Pokémon during the day and night.

This event also features Field Research, one-star and three-star raids, the GO Pass: Collaboration Celebration Event, daily PokéStop Showcases, snapshot encounters, and special Lure Module bonuses. Charmander, Charmeleon and Charizard wearing Friede’s goggles will make their Pokémon GO debuts. You might find one in the wild, from Field Research, attracted by an active regular Lure Module, or via the GO Pass.

You can use 25 Charmander Candy to evolve Charmander wearing Friede’s goggles into Charmeleon wearing Friede’s goggles and 100 Charmander Candy to evolve Charmeleon wearing Friede’s goggles into Charizard wearing Friede’s goggles.
