Frequently asked questions
How to get Annihilape in Pokémon GO?
You can get Annihilape by evolving Primeape into Annihilape. In order to evolve Primeape into Annihilape, you must defeat 30 Ghost-type or Psychic-type Pokémon in battle with Primeape as your buddy.
You do not have to defeat these Pokémon with Primeape, he just needs to be your Buddy. Any type of battle counts: Grunt battles, Raids, GO Battle League matches, Leader battles.
Tricks to quickly complete Annihilape evolution requirements
You can cycle through a single Team Rocket grunt to advance the Annihalape adventure quest by defeating 2 Pokemon and restarting the battle
The “Defeat 30 Psychic- or Ghost- types Pokemon” counts for each Pokemon of that type that reaches 0 health during a battle. It does not require to finish the battle by winning or losing it. Here’s how to effectively use this:
- Put Primeape as your Buddy and feed it, making sure it’s on the map
- Entered a battle with a Ghost-type Grunt with the buddy Primeape as the last slot (not needed, but for safety)
- Defeated 2 out of 3 Pokemon and quit the battle.
This way you earn progress and have an easy target to defeat in order to evolve Annihilape.
Defeat Blanche over and over
Master League Blanche has a Metagross on her team. You’ll have to beat her 30 times, which will take a while, but it’ll probably still be quicker than relying on PvP, Rocket Grunts or gyms.
Cheese it with a Friend
The easiest way to evolve Primeape is to just get a friend to let you beat up a team of 10CP Ghosts/Psychics until you’re done, but for the people who don’t have friends to do that with, Master League Blanche is also an option.
How to get a shiny Annihilape in Pokémon GO?
To get a shiny Annihilape you need a shiny Monkey, or a shiny Primeape, and you need to evolve them. You can’t do much to boost your chances to get one, as shiny Monkey has been a rare wild spawn for years, and your best chance is to go out and catch as many as you can. Your chances to get a shiny Monkey are ~1 in 500 encounters.
