Mega Falinks debuts in Pokémon GO during a special Super Mega Raid Day event on, Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. Trainers can look forward to Mega Falinks in Super Mega Raids, with the potential to be shiny (with boosted odds!), and up to five additional free raid passes for the day. Read on for all details, CP ranges, and everything else you need to know to prepare! Prep your best counter with our raid guide.

Bonuses

  • Shiny icon Increased chance to encounter shiny Falinks
  • Raid icon Up to five additional free Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs (for a total of six).
  • Raid icon Remote Raid Pass limit increased to 20 from Friday, May22, at 5:00 p.m. to Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. PDT.

Where to Find Super Mega Raids

Super Mega Raids will take great teamwork and may only appear at certain Gyms, so to make it easier to find nearby Gyms, Power Spots, and more, Pokémon GO has a new web-based map.

You can visit pokemongo.com/map to see the locations where Super Mega Raids might appear during an event, in addition to those in progress. You can also filter the map to show nearby community meetups days in advance. Typically it appears Super Mega Raids are more likely to appear in parks and other similar locations.

Mega Evolution System Update

More updates to the Mega Evolution system are coming throughout this year. As part of this update, you will be able to use Mega Energy to quickly increase your Pokémon’s Mega Level for all levels. The amount of Mega Energy required to level up will depend on how many times you’ve Mega Evolved that Pokémon: the more times you’ve Mega Evolved it, the less Mega Energy it will cost.

Timed Research

Timed Research will be available to Trainers during the event. Complete the research tasks to earn a Premium Battle Pass and an encounter with Mawile.

Please note that Timed Research expires. The tasks associated with Timed Research must be completed and their rewards must be claimed before the Timed Research ends.
