Now you’ll be able to increase Mega Staraptor’s Mega Level all the way up to Super Max Level for the first time in Pokémon GO. As discovered during Mega Finale, Pokémon that are eligible to unlock Super Max level can learn an additional Charged Attack while they’re Mega Evolved.
Brave Bird+
Staraptor will now be able to use an additional Charged Attack, Brave Bird+, when it’s Mega Evolved:
- Trainer Battles: 70 power and decreases the user’s Defense by three stages
- Raid Battles: 150 power
The power of this attack will increase with the Pokémon’s Mega Level. You must increase a Pokémon’s Mega Level to the third level, Max, before you can increase it to Super Max.
Participate in Mega Raids to help your Pokémon reach Super Max Level as Mega Evolving alone won’t be enough, you’ll need to use that Pokémon’s Mega Energy to power it up.
Super Mega Raids will take great teamwork and may only appear at certain Gyms, so to make it easier to find nearby Gyms, Power Spots, and more, Pokémon GO has a new web-based map.
You can visit pokemongo.com/map to see the locations where Super Mega Raids might appear during an event, in addition to those in progress. You can also filter the map to show nearby community meetups days in advance. Typically, Super Mega Raids appear more likely to appear in parks and other similar locations.
Timed Research will be available to Trainers during the event. Complete the research tasks to earn a Premium Battle Pass and an encounter with Gardevoir.
Please note that Timed Research expires. The tasks associated with Timed Research must be completed and their rewards must be claimed before the Timed Research ends.
