Trapinch
Trapinch Spotlight Hour takes place on Tuesday, April 18th, 2023, from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. local time. As is common with Pokémon GO’s Spotlight Hour events, Trapinch will spawn in large numbers during the entire event. Shiny Trapinch is available in Pokémon GO.
Trainers will receive 2x XP for evolving Pokémon, allowing them to farm 4000 XP per evolution during the hour. Trapinch’s final evolution, Flygon, is excellent in the Great League and the Ultra League, so it’s well worth checking out.
Trapinch is a Ground-type Pokémon, and it is boosted by Sunny weather.
Shiny Trapinch, Vibrava, and Flygon
While Trapinch does not have boosted shiny rates, it is a great shiny that is well worth hunting for if you are still missing it from your collection. Spotlight Hour does not have boosted shiny rates, but you never know!

How to evolve Trapinch
Trapinch can be easily evolved into Vibrava for 25 Trapinch Candy. Vibrava can be evolved into Flygon for 100 Trapinch candy.

Trapinch is a Water-type Pokémon, which means the following Mega Evolutions will grant you bonuses during the Trapinch Spotlight Hour:
