Numel and Camerupt

 Wailmer and Wailord Torkoal

Pokemon GO Camerupt (Max CP 2016) and it’s entire family has dual fire and ground typing. Than includes Pokemon GO Numel (Max CP 957).

Camerupt is known as the “Eruption Pokémon” and Numel is known as the “Dumb Pokémon” – we kid you not. These Pokémon are low tier attacker and gym defender, and sadly only collected for its Pokédex entry.

But Camerupt has Mega Evolution so it is smart to catch as many as possible and save best IV for future.

Both of those camels love only Clear weather.

Camerupt in the Pokémon GO meta

Camerupt is, as expected, mid tier Pokemon. Considering it’s stats alone, it is not very good but it moveset kinda makes it up for that. Camerupt’s redeeming quality is rather good type coverage, so at the end it can prove useful as second tier Grass/Steel/Bug or Ice raid boss type attacker.

Camerupt is known to have a mega evolution. Mega Camerupt has very powerful ATK and very bulky DEF, which could be an interesting twist in the coming months. The downside of its mega evolution is the  significant decrease on Camerupt’s Speed, but it is still decent.

Pokémon GO Camerupt Moves

Best moveset: Ember/ Overheat

Overall its very good moveset and despite being kinda slow and fact that Camerupt has very low stats it can do quite damage.

Ember is better then Rock Smash simply because of the STAB amd higher energy  gain.

All three of the charged moves are very strong but have very high damage. Overheat outranks Earthquake by 17% damage even though it’s slower.

Camerupt has access to the following moves:

  • Ember fire (quick)
  • Rock Smash fighting (quick)
  • Overheat fire (charged, 1 bar)
  • Earthquake ground (charged, 1 bar)
  • Solar Beam normal (charged, 1 bar)
