It appears that due to an error in game, the Beloved Buddies Timed Research ended before it was due to end, leaving many trainers unable to complete it, or claim their rewards. Niantic issued the following statement on their Niantic Help twitter account:
“Trainers, an issue caused the Beloved Buddies Timed Research to end earlier than intended. As an apology for this issue, we will be making this Timed Research available from Wednesday, Feb 19, 10:00 a.m. local time through Monday, Feb 24, 10:00 a.m. local time to all Trainers with tasks automatically completed”
Beloved Buddies New Timed Research
The new Timed Research is incredibly similar to the Timed Research that ended early, but is auto completed! You’ll still be able to choose the path with either Candela or Arlo and get free Poffins, and other items and Pokémon encounters.
This Timed Research will become available on Wednesday, Feb 19, 10:00 a.m. local time and must be completed and claimed before Monday, Feb 24, 10:00 a.m. local time.
