Blacephalon Raid Guide (Ultra Beast)

Posted in
Blacephalon

Blacephalon is a Fire and Ghost type 5-Star Raid boss. Blacephalon is weak to Dark, Water, Ghost, Rock and Ground types, so make sure you’re bringing your strongest of these types to battle. Shiny Blacephalon is not yet available in Pokémon GO. Blacephalon is only available in raids in the Western Hemisphere.

You can capture Blacephalon in the following CP ranges:

  • 1797 – 1884 CP at Lvl 20, 100% IV Blacephalon
  • 2246 – 2355 CP during Sunny and Fog weather, at Lvl 25, 100% IV Blacephalon

Blacephalon is very attack weighted and would fit into the glass cannon category, so it’s recommended to have at least 2-5 Trainers to take it down, noting that it will pack a punch while on the field. You can read more about Blacephalon in our database here.

Blacephalon moves

Picking Blacephalon counters can vary based on its dual typing of Fire and Ghost being only fully resisted by a handful of decent counters, such as Tyranitar and Crawdaunt. However, these are the only two types in its move arsenal, so there is a degree of predictability there. Blacephalon can have the following moves:

Fast moves Charge moves
  • Astonish Ghost
  • Incinerate Fire
  • Overheat Fire
  • Mystical Fire Fire
  • Shadow Ball Ghost
