Brionne is one of the featured raid bosses in Pokémon GO for the GO Fest 2022 event, and it can be caught with the following CP values:
- 1015 – 1077 CP at Level 20, no weather boost
- 1269 – 1346 CP at Level 25 with Rainy weather boost
It is a Water type Pokémon, which makes it only weak to Grass and Electric type moves. Unfortunately, its shiny is not available in the game just yet.

Whenever the shadow variant of a Pokémon listed below is available in the game, it is strongly recommended to use it over its regular/purified counterpart. However, since Shadow Pokémon are extremely expensive to power up and require specific events to TM away Frustration, they will NOT be listed as raid counters in this article.
Brionne doesn’t have many weaknesses, but if you don’t have ANY of the Pokémon listed above powered up, you can always use:
- “Generalist” Pokémon such as Psycho Cut + Psystrike* Mewtwo
- Eevolutions capable of dealing super effective damage such as Jolteon or Leafeon
- Other heavy-hitting megas
But please, try to use the Pokémon listed above if possible.

Brionne’s evolution, Primarina, will be a great water type raid attacker once it gets access to Hydro Cannon. Believe it or not, its DPS would be very close to Kyogre thanks to Hydro Cannon’s insane move stats in PvE. Primarina is less bulky than Kyogre though, but in terms of overall performance, they won’t be that far apart. Not bad for a non-mega, non-shadow and non-legendary Pokémon, right?
Primarina also outclasses Brionne as a charmer in PvP, mainly due to the fact that Primarina is a water & fairy type Pokémon and unlike Brionne its Charms will get STAB. Primarina has play in Great League, Ultra League and even Master League! Don’t sleep on this Pokémon as it’s likely gonna surprise you in terms of performance. Its best PvP moveset is Charm, Moonblast and either Hydro Pump or Psychic (depending on what meta you’re playing in).
We hope you found this raid guide useful, happy hunting!
