Gible is a Tier 1 raid boss in Pokémon Go and is a part of Part 1 – Pokémon Brilliant Diamond event, running from Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. to Thursday, November 18, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. local time.
Gible evolves into the highly coveted Gen 4’s pseudo legendary: Garchomp, an amazing Pokémon for both PvP and PvE. These raids give you the opportunity to catch a high IV shiny Gible for yourself!
Gible can be caught with the following CP values:
- 588 – 635 CP at Level 20, no weather boost
- 735 – 794 CP at Level 25 with Windy or Sunny weather boost
With a dual typing of Dragon/Ground typing, it is 2x weak to the Ice type, with Dragon and Fairy being its two other weaknesses. As such, its best counters include the likes of Mega Abomasnow, Galarian Darmanitan, Mamoswine and Weavile. You can also go ahead with your powerful Dragon types for the fun.
Being a Tier 1 raid boss with a 2x weakness, Gible is an easy solo.
Gible Raid Counters
Since Shadow Pokémon are extremely expensive to power up and require specific events to remove Frustration with a Charge TM, they will NOT be listed as raid counters in this article. That being said, if you have the shadow form of a listed raid counter Pokémon powered up and TMed, use it.
The best counters for Gible are the following:

Parting Words
Gible is and will always be a worthy Pokémon to raid owing to Garchomp’s terrific presence in the meta. You can either stick to your Sand Tomb + Outrage set and not use an Elite Charged TM on Garchomp at all or you can give it Earth Power (yes, it’s an excellent investment!). You can check out this land shark dragon’s analysis both with and without Earth Power from my Garchomp meta article.
All the best, trainers! Happy Sinnoh Journey to all of you!
