Gloom

Gloom is now available in Tier 3 raids in Pokémon GO and you should have no problem taking it down as long as you have good counters prepared. Lower-leveled trainers or those without optimal counters may want to bring a pal since Gloom has access to hard-hitting neutral moves such as Petal Blizzard and Moonblast. 

After the raid, Gloom can be caught with the following CP values 

• 902 – 960 CP, at Level 20 with no weather boost 
• 1128 – 1200 CP, at Level 25 with weather boost, during Sunny and Cloudy weather conditions

Gloom is a dual Grass and Poison type Pokémon. Even though it has a shiny variant in the game, Gloom encountered from raid battles won’t be able to be shiny. 

Gloom Counters

Since Shadow Pokémon are extremely expensive to power up and require specific events to remove Frustration with a Charge TM, they will NOT be listed as raid counters in this article. That being said, if you have the shadow form of a listed raid counter Pokémon powered up and TMed, use it. The figures in our database for DPS and TDO are calculated using Level 40 Pokémon with perfect IVs.

Gloom as a Tier 3 raid boss, has a CP of 12386, so it will require teamwork to take it down. l recommended bringing a friend if you don’t have good counters or are low levelled.

Moveset

Gloom’s evolution Vileplume is a decent poison-type raid attacker, so it might be useful to get candies and XL from doing these raids.
