Latias Raid Guide

Latias is a level 5 Legendary Raid boss in Pokémon GO, with 48080 Raid Boss CP and a Dragon and Psychic typing. Latias is the red-colored, female part of the Eon Duo, with max capture combat power as follows:

  • 1921 – 2006 CP (no weather boost, lvl 20, 100% IV)
  • 2402 – 2507 CP (Windy lvl 25, 100% IV)

Latias is countered in the same way as a Latios, but as it doesn’t have Solar Beam, Outrage is considered it’s most dangerous move set.

A minimum of 3-5 players are required to defeat Latias, but we recommend 7 or more — as it’s not an easy fight.

Latias Counters

Latias is not a difficult fight when there are enough Trainers, but Latias has more defense than Latios, so the fight can drag on for quite awhile longer.

Latias Movesets

Latias has access to the following moves:

Latias Movesets
Fast Moves Charge Moves
  • Dragon Breath Dragon
  • Zen Headbutt Psychic
  • Charm Fairy
  • Outrage Dragon
  • Psychic Psychic
  • Thunder Electric

There are a few general rules to keep in mind when fighting Latias with the available counters:

    • Be careful using Dragon types to counter a Latias with Dragon Breath and/or Outrage.
    • Don’t use Mega Gengar in a Latias raid knowing either Zen Headbutt Psychic or Psychic Psychic.
    • Thunder Electric will be destructive to Rayquaza, Salamence, Palkia, and Dragonite, so exercise caution using those counters.

Weather Effects

Latias is predictable in what it will throw your way, only having moves that are boosted in the windy or rainy weather. Conversely, in these weather types, you will see a boost to your dragon attackers, so it is not all negative. If you were looking to raid in a weather type where Latias receives no bonus, hope for fog, snow, or cloudy weather.

Weather Pro Attacker Pro Latias
Windy Boosts Dragon attackers. Allows for a Level 25 Boosted Encounter. Boosts Latias’ Dragon Breath, Outrage Dragon, Zen headbutt, and Psychic Psychic moves.
Partly Cloudy
Cloudy Boosts Fairy attackers.
Snow Boosts Ice attackers.
Rainy Boosts Bug attackers Boosts Latias’ Thunder Electric move
Fog Boosts Dark and Ghost attackers.
