Machoke Raid Counters Guide

A guide to defeating a Machoke Raid Boss. Machoke is a Fighting type Pokémon, and is best countered by using Psychic and Flying Pokémon: Mewtwo, Hoopa, Alakazam, Espeon, Moltres and Mega Pidgeot to name a few.

Machoke can be caught with the following Combat Power values:

• 1096 – 1160 CP (no weather boost)
• 1370 – 1451 CP (Cloudy weather boost)

Machoke should be an easy solo raid for most players, even when using sub-optimal counters. Machoke evolves into Machamp, a staple Fighting type used by most (if not all) Trainers.

Weather influences

• Cloudy weather boosts Machoke’s level in the Catch encounter, but it also boosts Fighting type moves, so Machoke will deal more damage
• Windy weather will boost all Psychic and Flying counters, which makes it ideal weather for speed raiding
• Other weather conditions have no notable effects on this fight
