Mega Skarmory is a Steel and type Super Mega Raid boss. Best Mega Skamory raid counters include powerful Electric and Fighting types, with a mixed range of different counters available to help you defeat it.
Super Mega Raids require a minimum of 8 trainers to defeat them, and each trainer will need to have a Mega Pokémon in their team. This guide will tell you how to beat this robot bird Mega, as well as its optimal stats, moves and CP range.
Primal Pokémon cannot be used to break shields in Super Mega Raids, so we do not recommend using them as counters. This specifically means do not bring a Primal Groudon or Primal Kyogre to these Raids.

Super Mega Raid Information
During Super Mega Raids the Mega Pokémon can become enraged, and even used shields that dramatically reduce the amount of damage they take. You’ll have to work together to take down these shields, but each Trainer can only take down one shield.
- Once the Mega Pokémon boss activates a shield, a Mega Pokémon from your Raid team will be automatically sent into the battle.
- Your next attack by your Mega Pokémon will be significantly more powerful than usual, allowing you to break down the bosses shield!
Once you and your fellow Trainers have broken enough shields the Raid Boss will return to it’s normal state and you will be able to do normal damage again.
How to Get Mega Skarmory
You cannot catch Skarmory in its mega evolved form from the raid. The mega raid boss is always catchable in its base form and as such, the CP ranges are for a regular Skarmory.
Skarmory can be caught with the following CP values:
- From 1139 CP to 1204 CP, with no weather boost
- From 1424 CP to 1506 CP with Snow and Windy weather boost
