Mega Victreebel is a Grass and Poison type Mega Raid boss. Best Mega Victreebel raid counters include powerful Fire, Flying, Ice, and Psychic types, with a mixed range of different counters available to help you defeat it.

Depending on your levels and counters, we would recommend 3-5 Trainers who are high level, and more if you don’t have optimal teams. This guide will tell you how to beat this hilarious Mega, as well as its optimal stats, moves, and CP range.

Mega Victreebel Counters

Mega Victreebel is weak to many popular Flying, Fire and Psychic Pokémon, which dominate the counters table. Reshiram, Salamence, and strong Shadow Pokémon like Shadow Mewtwo, Moltres and Heatran are all great picks you can bring.

As far as Mega Pokémon go, we recommend the strongest one you have, just be sure to bring one. Mega Rayquaza is great, your recently acquired Mega Mewtwo Y as well.

How to Get Mega Victreebel

You cannot catch Victreebel in its Mega Evolved form from the raid. The Mega Raid Boss is always catchable in its base form, and as such, the CP ranges are for a regular Victreebel.

Victreebel can be caught with the following CP values:

• From 1332 CP to 1389 CP, with no weather boost
• From 1666 CP to 1736 CP, with Sunny and Cloudy weather boost

In order to get Mega Victreebel, you will need 300 Mega Energy for the initial evolution, then 40 Mega Energy to evolve the same Victreebel again in the future. Mega Energy can be obtained via Mega Victreebel Raids, and once you have evolved Mega Victreebel, you can earn 5 Mega Energy per candy while walking it as your buddy. You can walk any Bellsprout, Weepinbell, or Vicreebel to earn Mega Energy, as long as you have previously evolved one to register it to your Mega Pokédex.
