Snubbull is currently featured as a Tier 1 raid boss in Pokémon GO, and it can be caught with the following CP values:

  • 656 – 707 CP at Level 20, no weather boost

Whenever the shadow variant of a Pokémon listed below is available in the game, it is strongly recommended to use it over its regular/purified counterpart. However, since Shadow Pokémon are extremely expensive to power up and require specific events to TM away Frustration, they will NOT be listed as raid counters in this article.

Snubbull doesn’t have many weaknesses, but if you don’t have ANY of the Pokémon listed above powered up, you can always use:

  • Generalist” Pokémon such as Psycho Cut + Psystrike* Mewtwo
  • Eevolutions
  • Other heavy-hitting megas

But please, try to use the Pokémon listed above if possible, your raid mates will thank you for that.

Granbull (Snubbull’s evolution) is actually a pretty decent fairy type attacker, only outclassed by Gardevoir, Togekiss, Zacian (as a pseudo-fairy type attacker with Play Rough), Sylveon and of course the top-tier shadows. In fact, shadow Granbull is significantly better and only ranks below shadow Gardevoir at the moment.

In PvP, shadow Granbull actually has some play as an unexpected swap in or as a lead. Charm hits pretty hard already, and adding the shadow bonus on top of that makes it a threat if the opponent doesn’t react fast enough. Unlike the other charmers, it can usually force a shield vs. steel types thanks to Close Combat.

We hope you found this raid guide useful, happy hunting!
