Applin makes its Pokémon GO debut during the Sweet Discoveries event! The event runs from Thursday, April 24, to Tuesday, April 29, 2025, during which you can evolve Applin into Flapple or Appletun using special items and Candy.
This information was shared in a marketing e-mail sent out today.

Applin is a Dragon and Grass type Pokémon that needs 400 Candy to evolve into Flapple, or 400 Candy to evolve into Appletun. A sweet and sour split evolution! 🍎
This is a huge amount of Candy, so we are quite curious to see what the developers have in store for us, and what are these items that the announcement mentions.
