The Boxes
In this April Box Sale Analysis, it is interesting to see how boxes have devolved in the amount of % savings, because we cannot be the only ones to have noticed the downward trend in the number of overall items in boxes. With that in mind, these boxes are a little better in total percentage savings than some of the boxes we have had recently, and the Ultra Box, especially, is a pretty well-rounded deal on passes and incubators. Let’s take a look at what we have to work with!

With a decent amount of items in each box, we have to say that the Ultra Box is a pretty good deal if you want both passes and Incubators, since boxes lately have been favoring either one or the other, and not both.
For the analysis, Star Pieces are priced at 50 a piece, and Incense is priced at 63 a piece because those are their bulk sale prices, and we want to give you a better idea of how much you are actually saving from buying this bulk box. Ultra Balls have no worth and are seen as a bonus.

April Box Analysis
Special Box
Similar to the boxes of recent sales, there are a few items in here that are good for the low coin player, but for this round, the Great Box takes such a leap ahead of the Special that it would be best to save an extra 300 coins (6 days worth) and grab that Great for more than double the worth!
Great Box
Very good for what it is worth, it has almost a 50% savings deal attached to it, and pays its worth in Raid Passes without breaking the bank (or the gyms). It is a way better deal than the Special if you are able to hold out and grab this one.
Ultra Box
The star of every analysis show, the Ultra Box. This is a direct downgrade from a box I clearly remember which had 10 of each item, reminding me again that boxes have been holding fewer items as time goes by. Taking what we have in an optimistic light, it is a nice well-rounded option, with 10 passes and 10 incubators. Players that need both can rejoice, but those of us who want another 24 pass box, we continue the wait. We were so close with 16!
Bonus Round: Adventure Box
It looks like the Adventure Box is here to stay, featuring no Raid Passes and an abundance of incubators, both Regular and Super.

Similar savings to the standard Ultra Box, but with more incubators and no passes involved, created for the egg hatchers of the world. With such a well rounded Ultra Box, this box gets pushed to the back burner, unless you REALLY just want incubators and curse Raid Passes.
Final Notes
These April boxes are not the best we have ever seen, but the Ultra box is a pretty well-rounded deal, and is almost better than the Adventure Box, even though the Ultra grants fewer incubators. We do not blame you if you pass these up, but if you need a little push to get you through the month, they might be able to get you there.
