GO Pass Testing Continues — GO Pass: May Launches on May 6

GO Pass: May has now been announced, continuing on with the April testing! GO Pass has been a relative success in the areas where it launched, mostly due to its free track, so we are quite curious to see what this month’s rewards will entail.

💡 Note – this is a geo-limited test run. Some Trainers in certain regions will automatically receive the GO Pass: May at no cost on Tuesday, May 6, at 10:00 a.m. local time You can collect GO Points and rank up to get additional rewards through Tuesday, June 3, at 10:00 a.m. local time.

What is the GO Pass?

The GO Pass is a free, limited-time progression track available during a specific time period. By collecting GO Points you can increase your rank to earn rewards.

Some Trainers in certain regions will automatically receive GO Pass: May at no cost on Tuesday, May 6, at 10:00 a.m. local time. You can collect GO Points and rank up to get additional rewards through Tuesday, June 3, at 10:00 a.m. local time.

Additionally, from Saturday, May 31, at 12:00 a.m. to Sunday, June 1, at 11:59 p.m. local time, there’s no daily limit for how many GO Points you can earn. Hopefully this will make it easier for trainers to complete!

Rewards unlocked in the GO Pass will expire on Thursday, June 5, at 10:00 a.m. local time, so be sure to claim your rewards before they’re gone.

Please note, the GO Pass feature is currently being tested, and both the free and paid versions of the GO Pass and its rewards can only be earned and claimed in the parts of the world that are eligible for the test.

GO Pass Deluxe

GO Pass Deluxe, a paid version of GO Pass, will be available for Trainers looking for upgraded rewards and faster progression.

While progressing through the GO Pass Deluxe, you’ll be able to claim all of the rewards from both the free GO Pass and GO Pass Deluxe. You can upgrade to a GO Pass Deluxe at any time and still collect rewards from previously unlocked ranks.

Rewards unlocked in the GO Pass Deluxe will expire on Thursday, June 5, at 10:00 a.m. local time, so be sure to claim your rewards before they’re gone.

Complete Pass Tasks to rank up your GO Pass to earn the following rewards:

Reach Major Milestones on your GO Pass to unlock the following bonuses:

  • Incense icon 2x Daily Adventure Incense duration upon reaching Tier 1
  • XP icon Increased XP from Research Breakthrough rewards upon reaching Tier 2
  • Stardust icon Increased Stardust from Research Breakthrough rewards upon reaching Tier 2
  • Egg icon Increased Stardust and XP from hatching Eggs upon reaching Tier 3

Lucky Trinket

The Lucky Trinket is back, back, back again!

  • A Lucky Trinket is a one time use item that can be used to turn one friend from your Friends List into a Lucky Friend.
  • When used, the Lucky Trinket will set the status of you and your chosen friend to Lucky, even if you aren’t Best Friends.
  • When you are Lucky with someone, the next Pokémon you trade with them is guaranteed to be a Lucky Pokémon.
  • Once you have traded, your Lucky status is cleared.

The Lucky Trinket will only stay in your item bag for a limited time, The Lucky Trinket
earned as a part of GO Pass: May will expire on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. local time, regardless of when you claimed it.

GO Pass Differences

As the GO Pass is still being tested, some Trainers in regions with access to the GO Pass may see the following differences between passes:

  • An additional encounter on certain ranks of the GO Pass Deluxe
  • Modified item rewards on certain ranks of the GO Pass Deluxe
  • Stickers as a reward on certain ranks of the GO Pass and GO Pass Deluxe
  • PokéCoins as a reward on certain ranks of the GO Pass
  • Fewer overall ranks of the GO Pass and GO Pass Deluxe

How to Earn Points?

Earn points to increase your rank and unlock rewards. You can earn points by completing Pass Tasks or the various accomplishments listed here. Any rewards you earn for completing a Pass Task will be awarded as soon as you finish the task.

The GO Pass feature is currently being tested, and both the free and paid versions of the GO Pass and its rewards can only be earned and claimed in the parts of the world that are eligible for the test.

You can earn up to 125, 250 or 300 extra points daily by completing certain tasks.

  • Raid icon Catch a Legendary Pokémon or an Ultra Beast (150 PTS)
  • Egg icon Hatch an Egg (40 PTS)
  • Pokemon Encounter icon Catch a Pokémon (5 PTS)

Pokémon GO Web Store

The GO Pass Deluxe, the paid version of GO Pass, is also available on the Pokémon GO Web Store. Trainers who upgrade to GO Pass Deluxe: May or GO Pass Deluxe: May + 10 Ranks on the Pokémon GO Web Store will receive three Ultra Balls, one Max Revive, and one Premium Battle Pass at no additional cost.
