Hawlucha is Coming!

Trainers, a brand new regional is about to powerbomb their way into the ring, Hawlucha is coming!

Starting with the new Season of Rising Heroes, Hawlucha becomes a new regional Pokémon, only available in Mexico. Hawlucha is known as the Wrestling Pokémon, and is based on a Luchador, wrestlers who do the Lucha Libre style of wrestling that was popularised in Latin America. It typically involves high flying moves, and many famous Luchadors wear masks to hide their identities. It is from Gen VI, the Kalos region.

Hawlucha was announced via the Latin American Pokémon GO App Twitter account with a fun video (shared below) and a wrestling event style poster.

There has been a lot of hype for Hawlucha and their potential in PvP, but unfortunately with it being restricted as a regional, it isn’t going to be accessible to the vast majority of players. Fingers crossed we will see an event that releases it worldwide at some point in the future, as we have many of the other regional Pokémon.
