Today the Holiday collection released at the Pokémon Center in the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, and will be arriving at the UK and Germany Pokémon Center very soon! The theme this year is ‘Winter Night Sky’, with Mew as a featured Pokémon. The collection has everything from holiday decorations, to homeware, clothing, plushies, and more, and is absolutely adorable!
From aurora borealis themed skies with Mew on jumpers, stockings, on snow globes and more, these are some perfect winter themed gifts for your Pokémon loving friends and family!
There are a whole host of Pokémon as tree decorations, from Slowpoke, to Pikachu, in either figurine shapes, or more classic baubles. Espeon is another featured Pokémon for the collection, in dusky pinks and purple colours on sweaters, hats and more.
The holiday pin collection is always in high demand, and this year is bound to be no exception. Amaura, Pikachu, Mew and Piplup each have their own northern lights inspired pins, where the skies are the focus. They also come in a gorgeous presentation box, making this a great gift.
Frosmoth, Mew, Piplup and Pikachu feature on one new stocking, with the other entirely Mew focused. We are loving the aurora borealis theme on these so much!
Mew is all set to be the star at the top of the Christmas tree, with this lush iridescent tree topper an absolute highlight in the collection. This is so pretty!
Four new figurines have also been released, each of which has detailing the whole way round them, making them a great centrepiece! There is a fun mix of both expected, and unexpected Pokémon featured in these, I particularly like the use of Arboliva as statues on the town hall, and Brionne as a dancer at the theatre.
There is even a gorgeous tree skirt, as well as a variety of different themed wrapping papers, gift stickers, and gift bags.
There are even some new Psyduck themed gift bags and stickers without a holiday theme that you could easily utilise all year round!
Now the real highlights of the Holiday collection are always the plushies, and those are not yet available, but have been teased. In Japan, which tends to get some exclusive merch, there is also a Tangrowth and Clodsire themed collection. The plushies often end up inspiring the holiday themed costume Pokémon in Pokémon GO, who do you hope we see added this year?
Tangrowth as a Christmas tree with baubles and the star is absolutely adorable, as is the Pikachu as a Christmas tree! We’d also love to see Clodsire in a holiday get up too. So cute!
