Trainers can open up to 50 Gifts per day until the Global Challenge ends on Thursday, May 22, at 12:00 p.m. PDT.

Reward for Global Challenge
After the challenge is completed, all Trainers will unlock the ability to gift free Special Research tickets for May 2025 Community Day Classic: Machop, which takes place on Saturday, May 24, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. Trainers can gift up to 20 tickets per day!
The giftable tickets will be available in the Pokémon GO in-game shop from May 23 at 10:00 a.m. (or earlier!) until May 24 at 5:00 p.m. local time.
Trainers will be able to gift these Special Research tickets to any of their Pokémon GO friends that they have achieved a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher with.**
**Certain restrictions apply. Gifting cannot be completed if the recipient has purchased the event ticket or has been gifted one already.
How to Gift Tickets
- In the Map View, tap the Main Menu
- Tap Shop.
- In the Shop, tap the event image or ticket you want to purchase.
- Tap the Gift button.
- Tap to select which Friend for whom you are purchasing tickets. If your Friend has already purchased a ticket to this event, you will receive an error message when you select that Friend and can select another Friend.
- Tap Confirm to complete your purchase.
- After your purchase is successfully processed, you will see a confirmation screen. Tap OK to dismiss this message. If you do not meet any of the required conditions, you will receive an error when trying to confirm your purchase.
You can send up to 20 Community Day tickets as gifts per day. To send additional tickets as gifts, simply wait until the next day and follow the above steps again. Other events, such as Pokémon GO Fest, may have different limitations to the number of tickets that can be sent as gifts.
Once you have purchased a ticket for your Friend, they will receive a notification from the Pokémon GO app letting them know that you have purchased them a ticket to the event.
You must be at least Great Friends with the other Trainer for whom you are purchasing the virtual event ticket.
