Trainers, preregistration has begun for Pokémon Sleep! Pokémon Sleep began accepting preregistrations through Google Play on Thursday, July 6, 2023. If you preregister through Google Play, Pokémon Sleep will be automatically installed on your device when the app is released.
Pokémon Sleep is an upcoming “game” where you’ll work with large Snorlax who live on the island and Neroli, a professor who’s studying Pokémon sleep styles. In a nutshell, Pokémon Sleep is a gaming app in which you track and record your sleep using your smart device.
Pokémon Sleep is scheduled for release on iOS and Android in late July.
How does Pokémon Sleep work?
All you need to do is place your smart device by your pillow and go to sleep—then your sleep will be tracked. It is not recommended that you place your device under your pillow or blankets as it may overheat.
Pokémon Sleep will save the following data about you:
- Sleep duration
- Time taken to fall asleep
- Time spent Dozing
- Time spent Snoozing
- Time spent Slumbering
- Audio recordings
- Audio levels
- Sleep diary(*)
Sleep Diary will be only available to premium members.
Your sleep is graded within the app based on two criteria: sleep duration and consistency. Based on your sleep data, your sleep for the day will be categorized into one of the following types: Dozing, Snoozing, Slumbering, or Balanced.
The morning after you play, you’ll find that Pokémon with a similar sleep pattern will pay you a visit. Trainers can spend some today to figure out which Pokémon have a similar sleeping styles as they do by taking a Sleep Type Quiz!
With functions like Pokémon-inspired background music to relax you into sleep, and smart alarms that wake you when you’re in a shallow stage of your sleep graph, Pokémon Sleep may help you to rest your very best.

Recently this year, Pokémon Sleep rumors were awoken by a new patent by The Pokémon Company, and we are happy to report that the patent was accurately used in the creation of this game. There may be more hidden that is still not known about the game, as the patent states the following:
