Safari Zone update: rewards, ticket info and future event dates

A few hours ago, Niantic has shared more information about the upcoming Safari Zone events in September, including check-in information, event rewards and future event dates.

Please note that all of this info is also available on our Pokémon GO Safari Zone page, in a more condensed tabular format.

According to the official Pokémon GO website, on September 16 Safari Zone activities will be taking at the following Unibail-Rodamco Shopping Centers and in the city-wide area around these venues:

  • CentrO in Oberhausen (Germany),
  • Les Quatre Temps in Paris (France) and
  • La Maquinista in Barcelona (Spain)

In order to prevent lag and network issues, Raid Battles will not be available at the event. However, attendees will be able to enjoy in the following activities:

  • an in-game medal,
  • a special 2 KM Egg with exciting rare hatches,
  • all day Lures at event venues,
  • opportunity to catch Kangaskhan in Europe,
  • increased spawn rates of Chansey, Larvitar, Unown,
  • increased chance to catch a Shiny Pikachu and a Shiny Magikarp

As far as tickets go, they will be free and nontransferable, but only available to players over the age of 13 and with a valid photo ID. Tickets will be available in a QR code form. In order to reserve a ticket, players need to reach out to the malls in question.

In addition, the following future Safari Zone event dates are now confirmed:

  • October 7, 2017
    • Fisketorvet—Copenhagen, Denmark
    • Centrum Černý Most—Prague, The Czech Republic
  • October 14, 2017
    • Mall of Scandinavia—Stockholm, Sweden
    • Stadshart Amstelveen—Amstelveen, The Netherlands
